Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

LandscapeTrade is operated by Landscape Queensland Industries Association Incorporated (ABN 92 439 102 270) ("Landscape Queensland"). This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

LandscapeTrade currently serves the landscaping industry in Queensland and northern New South Wales.

2. What We Collect

We collect the following information when you register or use LandscapeTrade:

• Name and contact details (email address, phone number, business name)
• Location information (suburb or postcode, for listing relevance)
• Listing content (descriptions, photos and pricing you submit)
• Usage data (pages visited, search terms, session duration)
• Communications you send through the platform

We do not collect payment card details. Payments are handled directly between users and are not processed through LandscapeTrade.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Display your listings to other users
• Send you platform notifications and transactional emails
• Improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised usage analysis
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

All data is stored in Supabase, hosted on Amazon Web Services in Sydney, Australia (region: ap-southeast-2). Your data does not leave Australia except as required by law or with your explicit consent.

5. Who Can See Your Information

Public: Your listing content, business name and general location are visible to all platform users.

Other users: Your contact details are shared with users you have engaged with through the platform.

Landscape Queensland staff: Authorised staff have access to account information for platform administration.

Third parties: We share data only where required by law or with service providers essential to platform operation (e.g. hosting, email delivery), under data processing agreements.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations)
• Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your privacy rights have been breached

8. Cookies

LandscapeTrade uses essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), row-level security in our database and access controls on all systems. No system is completely secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The current version is always available at landscapetrade.com.au/privacy. Material changes will be notified by email.
