Dispute Policy
Last updated: 7 July 2026
1. Landscape Queensland's Position
LandscapeTrade is a facilitation platform. Landscape Queensland is not a party to any transaction between users and does not mediate, arbitrate or adjudicate disputes. This policy sets out what you can do if something goes wrong.
2. Prevention First
Most disputes are preventable. Before transacting:
- Inspect items in person where possible
- Ask detailed questions and get answers in writing before committing
- Agree on price, delivery, condition and timing explicitly
- Do not transfer money until you are satisfied with the terms
3. If a Deal Goes Wrong
Step 1 -- Contact the other party directly. Most issues resolve through direct communication. Use the contact details visible in the listing or provided during your transaction. Be specific about the problem and what resolution you are seeking.
Step 2 -- Document everything. Keep records of your communications, photos of the item and any agreements made. You will need these if the matter escalates.
Step 3 -- Use external channels if needed. If direct communication fails, the following options are available depending on your situation:
- Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT): For civil disputes involving money or goods. qcat.qld.gov.au
- Queensland Fair Trading: For consumer protection matters. qld.gov.au/fairtrading
- Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC): For misleading conduct or unconscionable behaviour. accc.gov.au
- Queensland Police Service: For suspected fraud or theft.
4. Fraudulent or Unsafe Listings
If you believe a listing is fraudulent, misleading or involves an unsafe item, report it to Landscape Queensland at admin@landscapequeensland.com.au. Landscape Queensland will review reports and may remove listings or suspend accounts where there is clear evidence of misconduct. This is a moderation function only -- Landscape Queensland does not investigate or adjudicate the underlying dispute.
5. No Refunds or Compensation from Landscape Queensland
Landscape Queensland does not provide refunds, compensation or reimbursement for any loss arising from a transaction conducted through LandscapeTrade, regardless of the circumstances.
6. Governing Law
Queensland law governs all transactions conducted through the platform. Users agree to submit any legal proceedings to the courts of Queensland.
